Hi Hi!!  ​I’m Jocylon( Jos-Lynn) Genet Evans, originally from Africa but Indiana has been home for the past 13 years! I am a Musical Theater performer who is passionate about authentic storytelling and sharing the joy and privilege of performing.  Although i had a late start to this career, I have always had a connection to music and dancing since I moved to America.

Moving to America meant so many things for me but I am most grateful for my family on and off stage! My passion for performing began in high school in a community theater production of The Little Mermaid. Since that moment, I have been fortunate to perform in leading roles and in the ensemble professionally in the Midwest and soon in NY at Forestburg Playhouse! 






Although my passion is performing on stage, I have a deep love for creating and this past year I had the opportunity to choreograph professionally and recently made my debut as a director in RENT at Indiana University!











In my free time I really enjoy getting a good treat, some youtube kareoke and taking naps wherever/whenever!
