​I’m Jocylon( Jos-Lynn). I am a Musical theatre performer originally from Waro Ethiopia, I Immigrated to America when I was six years old which led me to my forever family!  

 

Growing up I tried every aspect of American culture including soccer, basketball, cheerleading, Lego Robotics and even magic camp, but

Soon my mom approached my sister and I about voice lessons( mainly to help my sister feel more comfortable singing in church). I was just the tag along. Immediately Janie Gordan, my first voice teacher pulled me aside and suggested I keep going into this career. Shoot why not, I thought so I auditioned for the local production at fifteen for The Little mermaid.

 

 

Who would’ve guessed I booked FLOUNDER. From that moment on I knew exactly what my passion was. I am now preparing to receive my BFA in Musical theatre from Indiana University and then move to NYC fall of 2026! ​When I’m not performing or creating, I am napping, hanging out with my friends or calling my grandpa Paka!
